I'm a software engineer. I have experience with Python, Javascript, SQL, Cassandra, React + React Native as well as a host of other dependencies and frameworks. I've owned and operated a metals brokerage for over 15 years and cultivated my skills in client relations, sales, logistics, strategic planning, accounting and marketing in that time. In changing fields I hope to repurpose that toolkit to become a stronger developer.
I speak conversational Spanish and basic Mandarin Chinese, actively learning both. I'm passionate about the process of bringing ideas to life with code and enjoy developing creative solutions to complex problems. I spend most of my time coding but some of my other interests are travel, world culture, sports and literature. I would love to work for a company that gave me a chance to work abroad or with international colleagues.
